This chardonnay, made by winemaker Bill Dyer, is grown and bottled on the estate. It’s a medium-bodied wine with a balance of fruit and light oak. The wine has aromas of tropical fruit with hints of ripe apple and pear. It has a small amount of acidity, for a nice, crisp finish.
The 102 acre estate is located within a beautifully sculptured micro-climate, bordered on the north, by Napa Valley and just below the foothills of Calaveras and Amador counties and next to the town of Lodi. In the spring and summer, the warm days are cooled by the Delta breeze, which creates ideal growing conditions.
Bill Dyer has been a California winemaker of note, for over 30 years. He has consulted for Miramar Torres Estate, Sodaro Winery, Frogs' Leap Winery in Napa Valley and Meteor Vineyard Cabernet.
