Produced by winemaker Bill Dyer and bottled on the estate, this Merlot is fermented in stainless steel, with a hint of oak added to the process. Deep colors with aromas of red cherries, pave the way for flavors of smoke, plums and blackberries with a balanced finish. This wine is a terrific value.
The 102 acre estate is located within a beautifully sculptured micro-climate, bordered on the north, by Napa Valley and just below the foothills of Calaveras and Amador counties and next to the town of Lodi. In the spring and summer, the warm days are cooled by the Delta breeze, which creates ideal growing conditions.
Bill Dyer has been a California winemaker of note, for over 30 years. He has consulted for Miramar Torres Estate, Sodaro Winery, Frogs' Leap Winery in Napa Valley and Meteor Vineyard Cabernet.
